Race : Mongolian Gobi Ultramarathon 225km ( MGU225km )

Race Dates : June 23 – July 2, 2017 ( 9 days )

Race Venue : The Southern Gobi Desert area, Mongolia

Road condition : Almost flat, having hilly parts. Steppe and Desert including sand

dune 10%.

Race Type : Stage Run. Total 225km in 6 days

Registration : Application during Jan 1 – April 5, 2017 by submitting application

form and Transferring the registration fee of

US$500.- by March 5 as an advance money to contract

US$1,200.- by April 5 as a Final Entry

Registration fee covers : Race organization, Accommodation, Local Transportation,

Meals, admissions to tourist attractions and events, Souvenirs,

Finisher’s medals or trophies, Closing ceremony banquet

party etc.,

Local Transportation : Vehicles with 3–5 passengers a car depending on the size of

a group

Accommodation : 2 Nites at Olympic Guest House, 3-4 nites at Ger or individual

tent depending on the local weather condition.

Safety : MGU225 is an extreme sports. Participants are to be aged 18 years or over. Participants must hold a valid medical check-up showing he/she is in good

condition to run/walk MGU225. Participants must own and carry proper

running/walking gears to avoid heats during day time, coldness during night

time. Participants must own and carry for their own medical aids if

necessary. The organizing committee will not be responsible for any of a

failure of individuals on their medical issues

Events : Horse-back Riding, Camel Riding, sightseeing the Dinosaur fossil

founds, Chinggis Khan Statue, Ulaanbaatar City Tour etc., These are

included in registration fee

Others :

1. Walkers are welcome subject to the above rules and conditions.

Walkers will have an exclusive vehicles to enable their walk distance a day

Race organizing Committee has a right to disqualify participants if any individual

1. is not obedient to LOC or its members who is on duty for the safety

2. breaks the Race Rules

3. shows improper behaviour to hurt any of the MGU225 group

4. not co-operative to our efforts to protect environment of Mongolia

5. does any act to affect the good planned race procedures
